This was a very interesting film and a very modern idea as well as something that is fairly relate-able. We have all at one point or time in our lives pinned over someone that we feel almost compelled to just love. This short manages to capture a true and tragic love story that has a true resonance. Antoine Doinel experiences what all to many others have in their lives, that crushing feeling when you are scorned by what you consider a true love, in his case Colette. An interesting and beautiful view and one of the first looks at the growing role of freedom for women in the “beatnick” fashion, this film is a true success and a real milestone in short film storytelling.
