‘O Dreamland’, how I wish I could visit thee

There is something almost miraculous about this film. It is a rare and beautiful thing to be able to capture the purest emotions of a child, and what better setting than a carnival. They even manage to capture that almost frightening sense of all the “big people” and all the yelling and excitement going on around you. Truely a marvel in its own right, especially for being made in the nineteen fifties.
